Christians United for Israel

On July 20 to July 22, 2009 Ana and I are traveling to Washington DC to attend the “Christians United for Israel’s” Fourth Annual Washington Summit.

We are meeting with other like minded Christians to stand up for the State of Israel and show our support for God’s chosen people.

It is our belief that if the America people violate their holy commitment to God, upon which our great country was founded, and drop support of the Jewish nation, that God will turn His face from us and we will fall.

America is the last vestige of Christian hope on Earth. Should we loose favor with God the rest of nations on Earth will succumb to the forces of Satan.

From the CUFI web site:

“America, Israel and the world are facing a great danger in the Middle East. Iran’s president has threatened to wipe Israel off the map, while every day he gets closer to acquiring the nuclear weapons with which to make good on this threat.”

Registered attendees will meet with their elected officials throughout the day and present the Biblical positions of our support of the nation of Israel. Each registered attendee has the opportunity to meet with their Congressional Representative and Senators.

We look forward to meeting with our congressmen in support of the Jewish nation. It is our duty to stand with them.

“For Zion’s sake I will not be silent,
and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest,
until its righteousness goes out as brightness,
and her salvation as a burning lamp.”
Isaiah 62:1

Unlike many other demonstrations of this size which center on lifestyle or monetary needs, ours is in support of a concept, a belief with eternal consequences.

It has become increasingly obvious that taking such a stand for Israel is something that God wants us to do; a divinely anointed path to follow.

Neither of us has ever been politically inclined in the past. We have just let things happen that happen. Sort of like Lemmings as we watched the world hurl headlong into oblivion.

Not this time! In my Spirit I know that we must take a stand in favor of the Jewish people by petitioning the US Congress to not break off relations with Israel in favor of the Muslim nations.

From the day that Abraham begot Ishmael and then later Isaac, there has been a warring between these two nations, Jews and Islam’s. But an end will not take place until the last and final battle of planet Earth called Armageddon.

Iran poses a nuclear threat stating that they can wipe out Israel in 11 days. Hitler tried this many years ago as well as many other Kings in ancient times. But God has said that the Jewish Nation is His chosen people, a Holy Nation. He will not let them be wiped off the face of the Earth.

But it is Americas duty to stand beside Israel and hold them dear as Allies, not cast them off as a bargaining chip to appease the Muslim nations. God has stated in Genesis:

“I will bless those who bless you,
and whoever curses you I will curse;
and all peoples on earth
will be blessed through you.”
Genesis 12:1-3

We Americans can not take a stand against Israel by turning a deaf ear to their cries for help. God will severely judge us if we do. America has experienced God’s blessings since Christians first landed at Plymouth Rock. We must not give up that blessing so easily.

So it is off to Washington we will go. There we hope to impress our leaders with the importance of standing firmly behind Israel and the Jewish nation. We hope to be led of the Spirit to take action where we can. We hope to meet a group of prayer warriors whom which we may keep the home fires burning as we petition God for resolution.

“.. If God is for us, who can be against us?”
Romans 8:31
